As most of you know I have an addiction to reading cat books, one of my worries in life is running out of feline themed literature, another worry is running out of shelf space for them all! I’m not a huge fan of Kindle books, I like to feel my books and see them on the shelf like ornaments. Studying Feline behaviour has given me a great excuse to buy more cats books (& shelves).
The latest treat I have devoured is a wonderful book called Kit Kat & Lucy by Lonnie Hull DuPont and what a treat it was. The book tells of a lady living in the City who for various reasons moves back to the country with her husband. Finding country life quite a shock and lonely, she welcomes a stray cat into her home she calls Kit Kat, who is soon followed by another cat called Lucy. The book is not just about the cats but also about her life which I found interesting and sometimes heartbreaking. I found myself totally engaged with this book and the writing is simply beautiful. I really hope Lonnie will write more someday. This delightful book is available from Amazon and would make a great present for any cat lover. Enjoy!
