When I was asked by Sally Chamberlain to write a foreword for this book I felt very honoured. I have known Sally for many years and we both have an interest or one might say obsession with felines.
There are a lot of books out there that cover general cat information, feline behaviour, cats and healing, problem behaviours, believe me I’ve read them all, but not many that cover all this and more in one volume. I especially liked the chapter on physical feline communication which is an area so often misunderstood. This book also covers feline intuitive communication, which I find fascinating. You will also find this book goes into detail, the subject of feline behaviour and problem behaviour, it is written in a very easy to understand and informative language.
During my work as a cat sitter and previous work in a feline only veterinary practice I have sometimes seen firsthand the heartbreaking and sad situations cats often find themselves in, often through lack of knowledge or understanding on the owner’s part. It is therefore wonderful to see books like this being published.
Cats have been overshadowed by dogs for far too long especially in behavioural science, we as their carers need to understand that cats are not dogs and give them the respect they deserve as an amazing, fascinating and intelligent species. This book goes into much detail and catches the pure essence of the feline in our world.
