What I learned about Life and Love from a feral Colony….
by Andrew Bloomfield
As many of you know, I read many books about cats, but only a few I read again. This beautiful book is such a read. It is the poignant story of one man’s journey helping a colony of feral cats in Southern California. Andrew moved into a home and soon discovered that he shared the property with a colony of feral cats. These cats were not fluffy friendly felines but wild and not interested in becoming anyone’s lap cats any time soon. After an attack by predators that killed yet another litter of kittens, Andrew decided to help them….. he named them, nursed, fed and provided shelter for them and slowly began a neutering and rescue mission. Andrew is a great storyteller and draws on his spiritual experiences in India and Nepal, which adds such beauty to his writing. You will fall in love with this book that has humour, warmth, heartbreak and gives a voice to feral cats everywhere.
